GyokusendoFounded in 1816, Gyokusendo is a long-established copperware workshop specializing in transforming copper sheets into fine household cookware such as tea sets, sake sets, and coffee pots through a Japanese hammer-raising technique called ’Tsuiki’. Gyokusendo's craftsmanship has been recognized and designated as a "Selected Intangible Cultural Property" by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and "Intangible Cultural Property" by Niigata Prefecture.

Shoe Horn
The design theme is 'wings'. Crafted strenuously by hammering 20 layers of thick hard copper, cupronickel, and brass metal into a compressed alloy; resulting in a more compact and complex metal structure. This painstaking process unveils a beautifully curved wing pattern on the shoehorn, offering a visual delight and craftmanship to be admired.
